We are building our success outward from a very simple premise: everyone is important. As a small school, we value every individual. We nurture individual talents and structure support to meet individual needs. Our success, recognised by OFSTED, is based on being a caring community. As a single sex school, we are able to create an environment where excellence is applauded not mocked. Last year, for example, saw our Year 11 Netball Team win not just the District championship but the County championships.
Our school is becoming a hub for innovative and exciting teaching. Our committed and imaginative members of staff are constantly developing ways to enhance and enrich the education and experiences of the young people we teach and care for. Our lunchtime and after school clubs run every day and cater for almost every taste, such as street dance, cricket, athletics, drama and so on. We run a daily after-school homework club until 5pm to assist working parents.
We are part of the Endeavour Cooperative Education Trust, together with the excellent Cofton Primary School, and a range of partners including Worcester University, Cadbury College and Bournville College. Through partnership with these organisations and our friends at Turves Green Boys School we are able to offer a breadth of opportunities unimaginable for a small school standing alone. The impact of these partnerships is clear through the almost 100% of our leavers who go on to maintain places in college or training and the remarkable exam results our inspirational young people achieve.
It is our aim that Turves Green pupils, after five happy and challenging productive years with us, should leave our school as well-qualified young adults who have a broad outlook, a concern and respect for others, and a self-confidence which will enable them to be successful in achieving their goals and fulfilling their ambitions, and to play a valuable part in the future of their world.
This is an exciting time for us as we continue to develop our facilities to meet the needs of a changing world; I do hope that you will make an appointment to come and see us at work and see the extensive and exciting ways that your daughter can learn here throughout her time at this school. Your child is at the centre of what we do. We work very hard to make sure that your daughter is encouraged, supported and inspired to achieve her very best.
